Nicole Scherzinger: The Poker Doll

Nicole Scherzinger |poker
As always, celebrities are experts in getting the attention of almost everybody. People find them entertaining no matter what they are doing. Watching them play poker is indeed a very entertaining experience. There is no better way to give money than to give it while enjoying as well. Playing poker offers them the opportunity to help while having fun at the same time.

Nicole Scherzinger |poker
Nicole Scherzinger and her other girl group pussy cat dolls also play poker! As I googled their sites, I stumble upon their poker island escapade where they play poker against a professional poker player for the first time. Here's some clip of their interview:

Speaker: The Pussycat Dolls don’t avoid water like other cats. More the opposite, on the yacht they showed how much they love water. Normally you would think that a day on a yacht with a lot of sun and water would be perfect, but when they arrived on Poker Island, the front kitten Nicole Scherzinger was speechless.

Nicole:
We really didn’t knew what to expect from Ibiza, but we never thought we would see something like this. I never would imagine something like that.

Nicole Scherzinger |poker

Speaker: Nicole never played poker before. After a short entry they were supposed to play, against some real poker players from Poker Island. Thank good you can dope yourself in this kind of sport (they meant the alcohol ). Then Nicole says the cheers thing, you can hear it coz they didn’t put the voice over, over her voice.

Speaker:
And wow, we don’t know if it was because of our camera or maybe they just had luck, they had some really great cards in the game.

Nicole: I just had pair two aces and two six’ , but Jess was better, she beat me, she had a full house. And no this has nothing in to do with the fact that she is sleeping with Bob Segatt.

Nicole Scherzinger |poker
Speaker: And as long as the game is, as harder they fight and the kittens have to search for some new tricks.

Kimberly:
You have to know the game and you need the right Poker Face. In this game you just have to act like you have the best cards in the world and I am pretty good at it…at least for a beginner.

Speaker: No not that good, because more and more players went out, at the end just Nicole and one of the real players are in the game. And then it happens. (she hits the glass)

Nicole Scherzinger |poker

Player:
Now you must leave the Table.

Nicole: Awww…but I am sorry, really! Damn…you don’t want to lose a poker game like this…! I am not a real player, or at least just when I am on stage and perform my songs Speaker: How this looks in Ibiza we show you on Monday in the VIP Lounge and tomorrow we go with the Pussycat Dolls to a hot Shooting.

Nicole Scherzinger |poker

About Nicole Scherzinger:
She's a Hawaiian, Filipina and Russian descent, and comes from a large family of entertainers -- her mother, Rosemary, was a professional hula dancer and her grandmother was a respected Mariachi singer. As a teenager, she was the first runner-up at the 1996 Kentucky State Fair's Coca-Cola Talent Classic contest, and she appeared in several plays at Louisville's Actors Theater.

Nicole Scherzinger |poker
In 2000, she was chosen as a popstar group Eden's Crush. In 2003, a friend told Nicole about a casting call for a new group called the Pussycat Dolls and even though she missed the auditions, she was allowed to drop by and perform for the executives in charge.

Nicole Scherzinger |poker
They were so impressed with Nicole Scherzinger's stage presence and vocals that they opened discussions with her immediately about joining the group as lead singer, and soon reached an agreement.

The Poker Baywatch: Traci Bingham

Traci Bingham | Poker
Traci Bingham first appeared on the radar screen for most people when she portrayed Jordon Tate on the show Baywatch. It was here where she crossed a racial barrier. Traci was the first African American to don the red bathing suit of a Baywatch lifeguard. This wasn't exactly Jackie Robinson stepping on to the diamond at Dodger Field for the first time, but it got the attention of many of us. What will probably come as a mild surprise to most is that Traci Bingham is a young lady with a Harvard education.

Traci Bingham | Poker
Beginning her post high school academic career at Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland, Ohio Traci showed exceptional flair. She then went on to the prestigious Ivy League University. The acting bug got under her skin though, and she dropped out of Harvard to pursue a career in front of the camera. Harvard's loss is our gain.

Since opting out of a Harvard degree, Traci has appeared in literally dozens of projects. Most of her time has been spent working on ventures for television, but she has popped up in a few feature films as well. She has also turned more than her share of heads with a high profile appearance in playboy.

Traci Bingham | Poker

The online casino site Empire Poker has tapped former ''Baywatch" star Traci Bingham to be the website's new spokesgirl. The Cambridge native's likeness will be used in conjunction with Empire Poker on its website and all media events. ''Traci will be seen at high profile venues such as red carpet events and poker tournaments wearing Empire Poker gear," the company said in a release.

Recently Traci Bingham has joined forces with Empire Poker. Like many other celebrities today she has found herself gravitating towards the game of Texas Hold'em, and the move to Empire Poker just became a natural fit. Traci will be appearing at poker events, like the World Poker Tour and World Series of Poker, as well as number of other high-profile events wearing the Empire Poker gear. She will also be appearing in their print and television ads. It is beginning to look like trading her red bathing suit in for an Empire Poker T-shirt is one of the best moves this young lady has ever made.

Traci Bingham | Poker
About Traci Bingham: Traci's fame from Baywatch led to small-time hosting gigs on shows like Candid Camera and MTV's Bikini Beach Party. But prior to that, she also appeared in small roles on The Cosby Show, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and The Young & The Restless, among others.

Just when things were getting red hot for Traci with her 1998 spread for Play.boy, she was taken out of the Baywatch script by the time her issue was released. That didn't stop Traci from keeping busy though, as she added modeling to her resume and has appeared on a slew of magazine covers, and took on small television roles in Sin City Spectacular, The Jamie Foxx Show, Strip Mall, Malcolm & Eddie, The Parkers, as well as occupying a square on the game show, Hollywood Squares.

Celebrity Poker Player: David Schwimmer

From the infectious TV series “Friends” and the theme song i'll be there for you made most of us want to be part of the show. David Schwimmer appeared way back in the early nineties as Ross Gellar. He was the ludicrous, stammering, PhD who married a lesbian and spent the early part of the series bumbling from one scene to another with a pet monkey on his shoulder.

After a while of this most men in the audience wanted to slap some sense into the guy, and in real life a "man and his monkey" is not a formula for popularity, but in this case it worked. He also become one half of the "Luke and Laura" of generation X. As he chased down Rachael (Jennifer Anniston) most of us quietly told ourselves she could do better, but secretly wanted to see them together. "Friends" is done now though, and David Schwimmer spends his residuals at the poker tables in Vegas.

Schwimmer took his passion for poker back to the small screen where he earned his fortune. He was one of the first players to appear on the show, "Celebrity Poker Showdown". Not only did he get to indulge his passion here though, but he got to preview the film that he and fellow Celebrity Poker alumni, Ben Affleck, are working on. They are filming a "Mockumentary" this year that centers around their shared addiction to Hold'em. The setting for this film is the Las Vegas's "Golden Nugget" and released in 2006.

Schwimmer, unlike many on "Celebrity Poker Challenge" is a true enthusiast. It may not be long before we see him playing with the big boys on the World Poker Tour or the World Series of Poker.

About David Schwimmer: Born in Queens, NY and raised by his lawyer parents in Southern California, Schwimmer got his first taste for acting at age 10 when he was cast as the fairy godmother in a Jewish version of Cinderella. He continued to appear on stage at Beverly Hills High School where his classmates included Jonathan Silverman.

He landed his first regular series gig as the liberal son of a conservative talk show host in the failed Henry Winkler vehicle "Monty" before finding success on "Friends". Schwimmer successfully used his hangdog looks as Ross, the heartbroken hopeless romantic of the group and his anxious delivery coupled with the somewhat nebbish manner made him a standout on the show. He earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in 1995.

As the final season of "Friends" came to close in 2004—promising closure on the long-running Ross-Rachel relationship—Schwimmer set his sights on the future early on, directing episodes of the show's spin-off "Joey" starring his co-star Matt LeBlanc. In 2005 the actor made his London stage debut at the Gielgud Theater in the play "Some Girls" opposite Lesley Manville and Saffron Burrows.

He also voiced Melman the Giraffe in “Madagascar” , Disney’s animated adventure about four zoo animals who escape and inadvertently find themselves in Africa where the city slickers struggle to survive in the wild.

Celebrity Poker Hunk: Bradley Cooper

Bradley Cooper | Poker

In anticipation of the release of the new comedy movieThe Hangover,” Warner Bros. Pictures hosted a celebrity charity poker tournament at The Poker Room of Caesars Palace last Friday, the stars of the latest Vegas-based comedy, “The Hangover,” will return to the scene of their soon-to-be-released film on Friday for a star-studed cahrity poker tournament.

Another glazed to my eye is the hunk and impressive poker face guy, Bradley Cooper. In the interview of collider.com, Bardley Cooper explains his experiences in the comedy movie of all time:

Bradley Cooper | Poker

Collider's Question: Is this considered a dark comedy?

Bradley Cooper: Yes. There is a lot of darkness in this thing. But we’ve had a blast. No one realizes that we work all the time. I mean, we haven’t had any real time off at all. We’ve been doing a couple of six-day weeks. The great thing about it is that I’ve seen quite a few areas of Vegas that I never would have gotten to see. We shot at the Riviera, and downtown. We shot in the old part of Vegas, which you don’t really see anymore. You are going to see Vegas in the daytime. As far as I know, you don’t really see Vegas in the movies during the daytime. Most of these movie takes place during the day. This takes place during the day after the night.

Bradley Cooper | Poker

Collider's Question: Can you tell us how you got involved? And what appealed to you about the script?

Bradley Cooper: Sure. I got involved early on. I think it was back in November. Todd had the script, and it was sort of banging around. I liked Todd. I certainly was a fan of his. I thought the opportunity to play this guy was something I liked. He is an alpha male. It wasn’t that I necessarily liked the character. I liked the synergy between the three guys. I liked that each one was so specific. And together, if you cast it properly, I thought it could have a lot of energy. I also liked the script itself. I liked the way it moved. It is fast. It is no joke. It’s like getting on a jet plane that just takes off and goes, and it doesn’t slow down until it lands. It’s rare that you get a comedy that has that type of engine. Each scene propels you to the next one. It’s more like Starsky and Hutch than Old School. Even though it’s a comedy, there is a mystery to it. It’s not like Old School, where it was just about the comedy. Here, we have an engine. We have to get this guy back to the wedding. Or else we fail. That engine really drives it. It is so fast.

Bradley Cooper | Poker

Collider's Question: What have you been up to in Vegas?

Bradley Cooper: Just work. We’ve been working this entire time.

Collider's Question:The other guys say they’ve been gambling.

Bradley Cooper: Oh, there has been a little bit of gambling. But like I said, I could get in trouble in this town. I try to stay away from those sorts of things.

Bradley Cooper | Poker

Collider's Question:How did you do in the big poker game?

Bradley Cooper: I did better than I thought I would. I survived through the third table. I am not really a poker player.

Bradley Cooper | Poker

About Bradley Cooper: Bradley Cooper is an accomplished actor on stage, in movies and also on television. Bradley Cooper is one of Hollywood's busiest actors. Bradley Cooper was most recently seen in the comedy "Yes Man," in which he co-starred with Jim Carrey under the direction of Peyton Reed, and in the ensemble romantic comedy "He's Just Not That Into You."

Bradley Cooper | Poker
Following "The Hangover," Bradley Cooper stars in several very different films due out in 2009: "All About Steve," a quirky tale in which Cooper plays the title role as the object of Sandra Bullock's attention; the horror thriller "Case 39," opposite Renée Zellweger; and the biopic "The Prince of Providence," in which he stars with Robin Williams and Oliver Platt.

Bradley Cooper | Poker

Bradley Cooper also appears in the anthology film "New York, I Love You," in a segment directed by Allen Hughes. The American version of "Paris, je t'aime," the film debuted at the 2008 Toronto Film Festival and is set for a 2009 release. Bradley Cooper is rumored to be the nest green lantern.

Born in Philadelphia, Bradley Cooper graduated with honors from the English program at Georgetown University before moving to New York City to obtain his Masters in the Fine Arts program at the Actors Studio Drama School at the New School University.

Wrestler And Poker Player: John Cena

John Cena | poker
John Cena prepares for a day at work by spending hours in a gym, sucking down protein shakes, and learning how to pose with authority. When he gets to the office, a regular part of his day is dodging masked men who are flying off the ropes of a wrestling wring, and getting dropped on his head by three-hundred pound “sports entertainment” personalities. It is only natural that in his off hours he would seek recreation that didn’t involve a concussion or massive blood loss.

John Cena | poker
John Cena is one of the top wrestlers in Vince McMahon’s World Wrestling Entertainment Empire. In an interview with Bluff Magazine, he exposed himself as a poker addict with World Series of Poker aspirations.

When asked about whether he would want to play at the WSOP he stated “I love that the World Series is open to everyone who wants to play. I know it’s definitely possible for a lesser-skilled amateur to make it deep into a tournament, and that’s a treat. At the same time, I’d actually like to go to the tournament a couple of times as a spectator. Really get the aura and feel of the place before throwing my hat into the ring. To be honest with you, it looks like a lot of chaos, which may take some time to adjust to.”

John Cena | poker
It would be no surprise to see this talented performer show up and do well on some of pokers biggest stages. He has been a success in everything he has ever done. Not only has he reached the sort of popularity in wrestling that earns one the World Championship Belt, but he has also had a successful rap CD, starred in the movie “Marine”, and has appeared on a number of television shows.

While his size and strength will do him little good at the poker table, we look for great things out of this superb celebrity wrestler.

John Cena | poker
About John Cena: On June 27, 2002 in Smackdown edition, John Cena started his wrestling career by accepting Kurt Angle's open challenge. John Cena mesmerized the wrestling world by dominating Kurt Angle but lost his wrestling match to Kurt Angle. John Cena offered shake hand to Kurt Angle but Kurt Angle rejected his shake hand.

He turned up to WWE RAW tapings 3 hours after having neck surgery. John Cena also intoduced the WWE spinner belt for 2 different belts.

John Cena | poker

John Cena | poker

Sexy Celebrity Player: Jessica Biel

Jessica Biel | Poker
Jessica Biel is known for a number of things; first and foremost she has the sort of body that could get anybody with a drop of Greek blood in them all charged up to sack Troy again. Helen may have had the face that launched a thousand ships, but Jessica is the sort of total package that could get a pacifist to consider nuclear war.

Jessica Biel | Poker
She also has made a number of forgettable, but still entertaining films and in regards to her current relationship with her boyfriend, Justin Timberlake, it is quite obvious she is the “man” in this pairing (we are not calling her manly, but rather I am expressing my personal opinion that Justin is the type of guy who probably has a subscription to Ladies’ Home Journal). The world poker player rarely, if ever, makes it into any description of this young lady.

Jessica Biel | Poker
Okay, Poker Player is a bit of a generous description regarding her prowess with the cards. On one shining night of short lived poker brilliance though, she did manage to make some gains against some established poker professionals.

Jessica Biel | Poker
During the opening of the Ivy Hotel in San Diego, CA, Jessica was somewhere in the vicinity of the poker table when she was asked to sit down and play a few hands. She declined. According to a member of the hotel staff, she did so because she didn’t want to match her skills against the poker pros that were at the table. Eventually she was talked into it by the pros. They were playing for her charity, Make a Difference, after all. A little participation on her part was to be expected.

Jessica Biel | Poker
Jessica opened strong, and actually held her own, and better against the professionals. The early momentum eventually disappeared though, and her stack of chips was quickly eliminated. Whether or not she was encouraged by her early progress, and has continued playing is unknown. She would be a fun addition to any poker show though.

Jessica Biel | Poker
About Jessica Biel: Jessica began modeling and performing in musical theater at an early age. In 1996, she got her breakthrough role as a preacher's daughter on the WB's 7th Heaven. When she was 14, she won the role of Mary Camden on Aaron Spelling’s wholesome WB show 7th Heaven, about a reverend and his large family.

Jessica Biel | Poker
At the height of 5'7" Jessica Biel towers over the majority of young Hollywood, and the self-described gym bunny's toned body gives her an older, sexier appearance than girls who are just naturally thin. There's little wonder why Esquire named her the Sexiest Woman Alive in 2005.

Jessica Biel | Poker
These days, Jessica is causing a paparazzi-crazed stir with boyfriend Justin Timberlake, she’s finished the movie "Powder Blue" with Patrick Swayze, Ray Liotta, Forest Whitaker and Riki Lindhome, where she plays a stripper and has a few topless nude scenes from that role.

She’s reportedly in talks for the Wonder Woman role in the upcoming Justice League film.

Singer Gone Poker Player: Macy Gray

Macy Gray | singer gone poker player
The poker world has changed in other ways, too. Not only are more women playing cards now than ever before, but the new breed of celebrity poker player is Natalie Hinds a.ka. Macy Gray.

Away from them, and work, she unwinds by playing tennis and poker. "One of my friends in LA - whom I had better not name - has a poker game every other Friday and I never miss it.

Macy Gray | singer gone poker player
"I love it! it's very social and I love to gamble. It's a brain game and I am working on it. Yeah, I am pretty smart," she says with a grin.

Macy Gray also appeared on the popular poker reality TV show the Celebrity Poker Showdown where she played with Jennifer Tilly, Brett Butler and Andy Dick for Habitat For Humanity.

Macy Gray | singer gone poker player
Macy Gray was recently reported as saying that if she ever stopped creating music, she would like to become either a pimp or a professional poker player. The talented singer told Rolling Stone magazine that she could see herself pimping, despite the fact that such an occupation is difficult and sometimes even dangerous.

Gray's secondary occupation of choice, when her hits will stop coming, is playing professional poker. The R&B star reportedly said that, although now she was not good in poker as she would have wanted to be, she still managed to make money despite her current level of play.

Macy Gray | singer gone poker player
40-year-old Gray, born Natalie Renee McIntyre, is also a prominent songwriter and producer. Thus far, Gray has released four studio albums, one live album as well as one compilation album. In 2005, the poker-playing singer established a music academy called The Macy Gray Music Academy where underprivileged children receive the opportunity to hone their performing skills.

In addition to her impressive musical credentials, Gray has found the time to become an accomplished and busy actress. Her first acting job was with no less than Denzel Washington in 2001’s Training Day. Since then she has starred in such movies as Spider-Man, Scary Movie 3, Lackawanna Blues, Domino and most recently Déjà Vu (again with Denzel Washington), for which she also performs “Coming Back to You” for the movie’s soundtrack.

Macy Gray | singer gone poker player
“I’ve had a ball,” she said. “I’ve been lucky that I’ve gotten some really good roles. Working with Denzel was a lot of fun.” Although she has recently been focused on recording, she says she’ll be back to the movies soon. “I took a break from the movies so I could work on my record, but when I go out on tour I’ll be taking some scripts with me.” She has also made television appearances in Ally McBeal, That’s So Raven and Blue’s Clues, to name just a few.

Macy Gray has a clothing line, The Natalie Hinds Collection by Macy Gray, a men’s fashion collection called SNAC, and she will soon launch a joint fashion venture with Interscope Records for curvaceous women called HUMPS.
